Himalai Aawaz is a weekly television program produced by Indigenous Television. This program is broadcasted every Thursday 8 to 8:30 PM and Saturday from 1 to 1:30 in the afternoon. The program intends to give voice to the mountain people, who are hardly heard in the so-called mainstream media. Nepal, geographically divided into mountain, hill and Tarai (plain land) region, is home to diverse ethnic and caste groups. We find different lifestyle, cuisine, culture and everyday practices in different geographic location. This program depicts mainly such diversity of ethnic groups mainly residing in the mountain region manly of Sherpa,  Rai and other indigenous groups, featurizing their lifestyles, cuisine, culture, rituals, polticals and so forth.
